Thank you everyone for coming to our events and lessons all these years.
Since the opening of iSwingTokyo until today, even in the absence of our director, Shawn, we were still able to continue to offer lessons and events for everyone to enjoy. We are deeply grateful for your help and patronage. Your love of swing and dance helped to keep us going.
The iSwingTokyo website will remain up past 2012. We would be very happy if you visit the site from time to time. Also, the “Swing Dance in Tokyo” group on Facebook will be taken over by Yusuke and Chieri and their new group “Dancing Bus”. In the future, Dancing Bus will provide great swing events and lessons for everyone!

2011 Tohoku-Region Pacific Ocean Mega Earthquake
This earthquake has devastated large parts of Japan and has affected the lives of tens of millions of people. We sympathize with those who have suffered loss and we give our support to those who are working, night and day to rescue the victims of this terrible tragedy. We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to all who have participated in this rescue operation and all of you who have donated so generously to the relief funds.
We also will do our best to help. We can lend our support in many ways, including sharing our love of dance. Allowing people to forget their troubles for a short time. If you want to get involved, here are some links to give you information about what is going on in Japan.
Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support
Thank you very much
Thank you very much to all the dancers who attended our charity event last night.
We collected 72,095 JPY from the entrance fee + extra donations.
We donated these money to
Japan Red Cross Society – 36,100 JPY
Earthquake damage animal and shelter fund – 36,000 JPY
under the name “iSwingTokyo and Japan Swing Dancers” with your warm hearts.
Also thank you to the people who signed on “Petition for the building temporary Shelters where pets may reside with their families”. We appreciate your concern for the animals and their owners.
We hope Japan will recover as soon as possible and we know we made a difference, however small.
