Private Lessons
Take that next leap in your dancing...
“The results of 1 months worth of practice in 1 hour…” That’s because only perfect practice makes perfect.
At private lessons, you get detailed feedback on technique or partner connection. You get individual attention on areas you personally want to improve. Private lessons are perfect if you want to take your dancing to the next level!
No matter if you’re a beginner or you’ve been dancing for a while, private lessons are a fanstastic way to focus on and accelerate your dancing and confidence on the dance floor.
They can be taken regularly or as one-offs, either on your own or in a small group (semi-private). Receive help on aerials, choreography, musicality, connection, and performance tactics.
Here are some areas you can work on during your private lesson:
- Developing your own unique style
- Fancy footwork
- Learning new steps
- How to lead and/or follow
- Listening to the music and understanding how it works
- Improvisation
- Linking everything together
- Moving between 6 count and 8 counts
- Working on a routine
- Exercises to improve your basic foundation
- Spins and turns
- Balboa, Charleston, or even take on a whole new dance!

Cost
6,000 yen / 1 hour (up to ２ people）
- Discount offered if you book for 3 or more hours. Please ask when booking.
Important Please commit to your lesson times. Please be considerate of the instructor’s time. If you cancel your booked private lesson 24 hours in advance, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you forfeit 100% of the lesson charge. If you book a private lesson, another person cannot book for the same time and the instructors cannot accept another lesson. The instructors have committed to be available for your lesson time. Please be aware that we book and pay for rooms also. We are sorry about this rule but recently we have had many sudden cancellations after our instructors have booked and paid for rooms and/or have traveled a distance away from their homes.

Video Notebook
You may video record a summary of material covered at the end of your private lesson. We can also provide personal feedback, if you record a footage of your dancing. Please prepare your own video equipment.
Semi-Private Lessons
Do you find it difficult to attend group lessons because of work schedule? Would you like us to arrange a swing dance lesson with your dance club or small group of close friends?
Semi-private lessons are a perfect setting to learn swing dancing in a small group class at your own pace, your own time, with your own group of friends.

Cost
Varies on size of group. For a group of up to 4 people:
8,000 yen / 1 hour (2,000 yen per person)
- Please inquire about rates for more than 4 people!
- Note that there may be a travel charge if long distances are traveled by the instructors.
